ENDOSCOPIC PROCEDURES

Endoscopic procedures have become very popular by reducing visible scars and also reducing the recovery time required. the procedure is performed by skilled surgeons through very small incisions where prior to advent of endoscopes required large areas of dissections. There are many procedures that can now be performed this way such as, Forehead or brow lift, mid face lift and Breast augmentation.

FACELIFT

Face lift or Rhytidectomy involves improvement of the facial and neck areas. Excess skin and fat is removed through well placed incisions to gain that youthful look we all desire. Face and neck lift must be designed in such a way to avoid the tight unnatural look that sometimes is seen. Our goal is to obtain a natural result without the visible tell tale signs of face lifts.

Procedure Length: 2-3 Hours
Duration of Results: Usually 5 to 10 years.

BROWLIFT OR FOREHEAD LIFT

Forehead lift or "brow lift" is designed to get rid of those unwanted frown lines between the brows and reduce the fore head lines. It also raises the brows to help open the eyes and remove that angry or tired look. The goal is to obtain a fresh younger appearance . With endoscopic approach there are minimal incisions well hidden inside the hair line, so no visible scars are present. Recovery is much quicker and less painful.

NOSE SURGERY

Rhinoplasty or nose surgery is a fine art that takes years to master. Reshaping the nose requires long discussion between the surgeon and the patient so that the end result is what you want and not what your surgeon wants. Computer imaging is a great tool to help Dr. Mabourakh understand what you are looking for. All rhinoplasty patients undergo computer imaging prior to nose surgery in our office so that we can meet your expectations.

EYELID SURGERY

Eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty is the most common facial surgery and can do more to improve your appearance than any other single procedure. Excess skin and fatty tissues are removed to open up the eyes and get rid of the tired and sad look. Blepharoplasty is commonly combined with face lift or forehead lift. If visual fields are affected upper eyelid surgery may be covered by insurance. A visual field test is used to obtain insurance authorization prior to surgery. Incisions are well hidden recovery is very quick.

Duration of Results: Several years, Sometimes Permanent.

LIP AUGMENTATION

Obtain a fuller lip with in minutes with today's injectable fillers. Lip augmentation with products such as Restylane, Perlane, Prevelle or Juvederm is virtually painless with use of local anesthetics and the results are immediate. When combined with Botox and laser treatments the results can be amazing. Dr. Mabourakh will discuss the options and risks with you. Use of these products are "off label" according to the FDA, Dr. Mabourakh will discuss this with you. Although these products are used in the lips they are not approved by the FDA for this purpose but their use in other areas is approved. More permanent result can be obtain with fat transfer techniques.

CHEMICAL PEEL - Laser Rejuvenation

Chemical peels have changed so much over the last 10 years. The pioneering work of Dr. Obagi, created a system that any one can use at home. For more aggressive approach our esthetician has years of experience in use of more aggressive products. Peels can be combined with microdermabrasion "The Power Peel" to obtain even a better result. For more aggressive approach Dr. Mabourakh can recommend peels to further improve pigmentation or fine lines. Laser facial rejuvenation is now more popular than ever before with the use of Laser Genesis, Laser Titan, Limelight, Laser Pearl resurfacing and Fractional lasers.

BOTOX®

Botox Cosmetic has become the number one non-invasive procedure performed in the plastic surgery office. Botox injection takes less than 10 minutes and has no recovery time. the results last 3 months or more to reduce those unwanted lines, and can be used to reshape the facial appearance. The 3 most popular areas injected are the frown lines between the brows, crows feet area to reduce the laugh lines and raise the brows and open the eyes, and the forehead to reduce those deep forehead lines. Another use of Botox is for "hyperhydrosis" excessive sweating that is not controlled by medicated antiperspirant.

EAR SURGERY

Otoplasty or ear surgery to correct protruding or prominent ears is performed through a small incision behind the ears. The ear shape is corrected to avoid the prominent appearance. Although usually done at an early age, it is becoming more common in older patients. Recovery is quick and the results are immediate.

INJECTABLE FILLERS

Dermal fillers are becoming more popular and as a result there are numerous fillers available. Most popular are Restylane, Perlane, Radiesse, Prevelle, and Juvederm. Each has advantages and disadvantages. They last 3 to 9 months on the average. Injections take less than 15 minutes and the results are permanent. A more permanent and natural choice is fat transfer which is now available and can be done very easily. Approximately half the injected fat remains as a permanent addition.
